Product Overview

The Model A205 is an offshore baler suitable for cardboard and plastic that makes offshore waste management a simple and effective process.

The Mil-tek A205 Offshore has been customized to operate in tough, offshore environments such as platforms and rigs. A range of precise changes help to minimize corrosion that platform based machinery are susceptible to, and the unit itself is available in both powder-enamel or stainless steel finishes. This ensures the baler will endure in tough working environments.

With a floorspace footprint of just 45 cm2, the A205 is ideal for compact locations such as offshore platforms where space is limited. The elongated vertical chamber can create a cardboard bale of up to 50kg, and a plastic bale of up to 120kg. The effect of waste minimization offshore improves the workflow and simplifies the process of offshore waste storage and waste disposal.

The Mil-tek A205 is powered exclusively by compressed air, meaning that it is free of both electrical and hydraulic components. In addition, the 205-O contains no directly interacting metal parts that could cause a spark or risk fire. This effectively eliminates any risk of fire.

Q&A

How does the sliding wagon and fixed frame feature work?
The frame is rectangular, allowing the waste wagon to slide under the pressing plate and out again, without risk of rolling beyond that. The frame itself is wheel-mounted, allowing it to easily be transported or locked in place.

What kind of AC outlet do I need?
Mil-tek Compactors are powered exclusively by compressed air. In addition, ECO Drive technology evenly distributes power usage, meaning you only use as much power as you need to compress each cycle. The low power usage also means that the machines are extremely quite in operation.

How often must the machine be serviced?
It is recommended that you service your machine on an annual basis. Shipping & Offshore operate under different cycles to regular workplaces, so be sure and talk to a Mil-tek consultant about how we advise you care for your machine. Mil-tek also supplies spare parts kits, which are available for all offshore models.

How does a waste compactor help the shipping & offshore industry?
In a word: compaction! With strict legislation surrounding offshore waste management, it’s imperative that offshore ships and platforms have a proper waste management solutions in place. For more information on how Mil-tek can assist in this, click the Legislation link at the top of this page.

COMMERCIAL SHIPPING

For commercial ships, space and waste are crucial parameters. Typically operating with small crews and constantly moving surfaces, keeping the working conditions clean and waste free is of critical importance.

A strategically placed A205 will become an integral part of the offshore waste management by allowing crew to easily and tidily dispose of waste plastic and cardboard.

OFFSHORE

Offshore platforms and rigs operate in tough environments where space is limited and waste disposal is covered by strict legislation.

A model A205 compacts all cardboard and plastic on board making offshore waste disposal and waste storage a much simpler, stress free concern. Constant pressure applied to the compressed material via patented ECO-Drive technology results in heavily compressed bales.

CRUISE SHIPS

Carrying sometimes thousands of passengers and hundreds of crew, the sheer volume of waste creation onboard large cruise ships is staggering. All of this waste must be retained onboard until the ship reaches port, meaning waste minimization is vital.

With a tiny footprint of just 45 cm2, the A205 is an ideal solution to the problem of offshore waste management on cruise ships.
